Acrylic Castings

Our acrylic resins are designed to provide optical clarity and purity for thick acrylic castings commonly used in aquarium panels, hypobaric chambers and other applications requiring the best visual and engineered performance. They allow for outstanding UV light stability and excellent resistance to water and dilute acids.

Our Lucite 6751 PMMA grade offers exceptional clarity and gloss, crystal clarity and high surface abrasion resistance and hardness.

Embedments and Encapsulation

Our PMMA resin is ideal for embedding objects inside a clear or pigmented solid piece of acrylic. A similar approach is taken with metallographic encapsulation, where a metal object is encapsulated by acrylic to allow analysis of the metal.

Lucite® 4F offers exceptional clarity, ideal for metal embedments such as coins, badges, and other memorabilia.

Colacryl® TS2219 and Colacryl® TS2220 liquid have been designed specifically for cold-cure metallographic encapsulation. Combined, they offer high transparency, low shrinkage, low viscosity, and low exotherm temperature.
