MCG’s Global LCA Competence Center (GLCC)

Since centralizing LCA services for EMEA in 2022, coverage has expanded to support the entire region and is aligned with ISO standards and the GHG Protocol, following the recommendations of industry guidelines like TfS.

In 2024, we launched the GLCC to harmonize our processes worldwide and connect regional LCA work on a global level within MCG. Anticipating regulations such as the EU Digital Product Passport, we are preparing to deliver full Product Environmental Footprint reports for every product shipment.

Our LCAs enable innovations in renewable energy adoption and recyclability while supporting customers with Scope 3 reporting and compliance with frameworks such as CSRD.

MCG Sustainability Ratings

EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a leading global platform that evaluates companies on key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.

At MCG, we use EcoVadis to benchmark and improve sustainability across our value chain, and we are proud to have achieved a global bronze rating, placing us among the top 35% of companies assessed.

We have performed a separate EcoVadis rating for our group company MCAM SYMALIT AG where we reached a stellar silver rating – putting us in the top 15% of companies rated.

MCG is involved with the 2024 Supplier Engagement Assessment Leaderboard and has been awarded by the Carbon Disclosure Project

 

 

 

Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

CDP is an international NGO that assesses companies’ environmental initiatives based on requests from global investors. MCG has received an A rating for “Climate Change” and an A- rating for “Water Security.” (As of February 2025).

MCG has been included on the 2024 Supplier Engagement Assessment Leaderboard, the highest rating in CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment program operated by CDP. (As of July 2025)
