I’m Iris Petrovic, and I recently joined Mitsubishi Chemical Group as a Category Buyer. With a strong interest in strategic sourcing and collaboration, I was excited to step into a role where I can contribute to meaningful projects while continuing to grow my expertise.

Which moment made you feel ‘I made the right choice joining’?
The moment I knew I had made the right choice joining MCG was when my manager showed genuine care for the team and our motivation. As a Senior Buyer, he consistently takes the time to support, encourage, and give positive feedback. His leadership made me feel valued early on and reassured me that I had joined the right company.

What made you feel welcomed here?
From day one, everyone was incredibly approachable and supportive — genuinely happy to have me in the team. The friendly atmosphere, open communication, and colleagues taking the time to get to know me helped me feel welcome and comfortable very quickly.

What helped you feel part of the team right away?
My manager helped me feel part of the team immediately. He gave me confidence that I would fit in quickly, encouraged me to connect with colleagues across the organization, and always created space for open discussions. That openness made it easy to build connections from the start.

What skills do you hope to grow during your first year?
In my first year, I hope to further develop my strategic sourcing and category management skills, while also gaining a deeper understanding of our internal processes. Strengthening cross functional collaboration with stakeholders across the organization is also a key focus for me.

What attracted you to MCG and why did you decide to join?
I was attracted to MCG because of its strong reputation, international environment, and its commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement. The role offered an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while expanding my knowledge of the chemical industry.
